# An AI readiness assessment that proves it on real work

Our version of an AI readiness assessment is the First Agent Sprint: $15,000, two weeks and a few short interviews from your team. It ends with a ranked list of where AI agents would pay off, an ROI model and a first working agent, so you see readiness in practice instead of on a slide.

Purpose

## What is an AI readiness assessment for?

Which work in your company should an AI agent take on first, and what will it return?

It answers that one question before you spend on a build. A good assessment ranks your workflows by expected return and tells you what has to be true in your data, systems and team before an agent can do the job.

Deliverables

## What do you get at the end?

### Opportunity map

Your workflows ranked by expected return, with the first agent to build marked

### ROI model

Hours returned and revenue influenced for the top opportunities, with the assumptions shown

### Workflow maps

For the top workflow, each step marked as agent work or a person's decision

### Readiness gaps

Data, access, ownership or process changes needed before a build

### A first working agent

The top workflow, running on real cases in practice mode while your team approves everything

### Next-step quote

What it costs to take the agent live and keep it running, before you commit

Process

## How does it work, step by step?

- InterviewsShort conversations with the people who do the work and the people who own the results.

- Systems reviewWe look at the software involved, such as your ERP, CRM, help desk and inbox, and what an agent could reach.

- RankingWe score each workflow on volume, clarity of rules, cost of delay and risk.

- First buildA first version of the top agent, connected to one system and working in practice mode.

- ReadoutA working session with your leadership to review the agent's results and agree the next step.

Self-check

## Are we ready for AI agents?

Most mid-market companies are readier than they think. These are the signals we look for:

SignalReadyNot yet

### Volume

The same job happens dozens of times a day

The work is rare or always different

### Rules

Your best people can explain how they decide

Decisions depend on judgment nobody can describe

### Systems

The data lives in software an agent can reach

It lives in paper, spreadsheets on laptops or people's heads

### Ownership

Someone will own the agent after launch

Nobody has time to check its work

### Measure

You can name one number that should move

Success is "use more AI"

Price

## How much does an AI readiness assessment cost?

$15,000fixed · includes a first agent

Ours is $15,000 at a fixed price, and it includes a first working agent. Assessments from large consulting firms are usually scoped as longer strategy programs. Ours is short on purpose: it exists to pick the first agent and prove it on real work.

## What happens after the assessment?

If the agent is paying off, we [take it live](https://www.codivated.com/ai-agent-development/) and keep it running, priced per agent, per month. If not, you keep the opportunity map and ROI model and owe nothing more. Questions

## Common questions

### How much of our team's time does it take?

A few short interviews, plus a working session at the end with the leaders who will decide on the build.

### Do we need clean data first?

No. Part of the assessment is finding out which data the first agent needs and whether it is good enough. Most first agents work with the systems you already run.

### What does the first agent do in two weeks?

One job on one workflow, such as drafting replies to order status questions or qualifying inbound leads. It works in practice mode: it prepares the work and a person approves it.

## A working agent in two weeks.
