AI agent development for mid-market companies
Codivated builds custom AI agents for established, mid-market companies. It starts with a $15,000, two-week First Agent Sprint: we find the job where an agent pays off fastest and build a first working version of it, connected to the software your team already uses.
What does an AI agent development company actually build?
An AI agent is a digital team member with one job. It reads requests, looks things up in your systems and handles the routine cases. When something is unusual, it asks a person. We build agents that qualify leads, resolve order exceptions, match invoices, answer customers and triage bugs.
Who is this for?
Companies with real volume and a real budget, but without a large AI team of their own: distribution and logistics, professional services, ecommerce and retail, home and field services, and education. The usual trigger is a board or CEO asking for AI results, or an internal pilot that never reached production.
Which agents do companies build first?
We rank these by expected return during the sprint. Read where AI agents pay off first for how we decide.

What are the options for getting an agent built?
There are five common routes. The right one depends on how much the agent must connect to your systems and who will own it after launch.
Off-the-shelf agent in a SaaS tool
- Best when
- The job fits a product as it ships

- Only the integrations the vendor offers
- Who keeps it working
- The vendor
Freelancer
- Best when
- One small, self-contained automation
- Connects to your systems
- Yes, if they have the skills
- Who keeps it working
- Whoever is available
Software dev shop
- Best when
- You have a full spec and an internal product owner
- Connects to your systems
- Yes
- Who keeps it working
- You, after handoff
In-house team
- Best when
- AI is core to what you sell and you can hire for it
- Connects to your systems
- Yes
- Who keeps it working
- Your team
Codivated
- Best when
- You want working agents in weeks and help redesigning the workflow around them
- Connects to your systems
- Yes, inside the tools your team uses
- Who keeps it working
- We do, through ongoing agent care
If an off-the-shelf tool will do the job, we will say so. Our AI setup for small teams picks and sets one up in about a week.
How do you keep people in control?
Agents act, and people approve what matters. Before we build, we agree what each agent can do on its own and what needs a person, by dollar amount, customer or type of action. Every action is logged, so you can see what each agent did, when and why.
What does it cost?
The First Agent Sprint is $15,000 at a fixed price. You get a ranked list of where agents would pay off, an ROI model and a first working agent on one workflow. Keeping agents running and improving is priced per agent, per month. Larger builds get a fixed quote before work begins. Estimate your return before you talk to us.

What happens after launch?
An agent is not install-and-done. Like a new hire, it needs an owner on your side, a measure of success and regular tuning. Our ongoing agent care keeps each agent working as your business changes, and adds new agents when you are ready.
Common questions
Do we need to replace our software?
No. Agents work inside the tools your team already uses, such as your ERP, CRM, help desk and inbox.
How much of our IT team's time will this take?
Very little. We need access to the systems involved and a short security review. We handle the setup, connections and upkeep.
Is our data used to train AI models?
No. Agents reach only the systems their job needs, every action is logged and your data is not used to train AI models.
What if the first agent does not pay off?
We agree the measure before work starts and check it during the practice run, when your team still approves everything. If it does not move, we stop there.
